Geometry:Transformations
MA.912.G.2.4 Apply transformations (translations, reflections, rotations, dilations, and scale factors) to polygons. to determine congruence, similarity, and symmetry. Know that images formed by translations, reflections, and rotations are congruent to the original shape. Create and verify tessellations of the plane using polygons.
MA.912.G.2.6 Use coordinate geometry to prove of congruent, regular and similar polygons, and to perform transformations in the plane.

For blocks 52-54, participants will experience a variety of delivery methods for inservice. In Block 52, participants will work through Geogebra Workshop #4 in which they will perform investigations with transformations while simultaneously learning the GeoGebra application. For Block 53, participants will be asked to present the three lessons to their students and to provide feedback to each other through the blackboard discussion forum. Block 54 is designed as a 2 hour face to face lecture / workshop for the the participants in which they will explore some of the techniques used by M.C. Escher in creating some of his famous tessellation.
